AICE Media Film:
While filming we made changes to the film and had to improvise. We had several choices to make such as actor changes, prop changes, and script changes. All these changes were made on the spot making the film easier to shoot.
This blog post is about the research on music choice I conducted coming together with my team. During the research we came across some great tips to choosing the perfect soundtrack for our film.
Hi, welcome back to another post! This is the finial week of the blog post which means our post are coming to a end. Today we will be talking about how we will be editing our film.
We will start the editing by taking all the raw clips and putting them into adobe to add all them together. Once we transport them to adobe we will put them all into order and make it all one long running clip. Then we will take out all the cuts and to make it a smooth clip. Then we will start doing the opening credits, during the establishing shot all the people's that were including in the film will pop up(their names). The names will be in a certain font to match the theme of the music that will be include. The music will are going to be using during the opening credits is MTG ARC FUNK, this song is very up beat to make our film interesting and fun. After the opening credits it will cut into the actually film. The next part will be editing is the flash back. For the flashback we will make the screen go white so it looks like a dream then it will cut to younger Gabo playing soccer, and all his highlights. In the background the music that will be playing is Memories by Marron 5. Then it will cut back to normal when his mom knocks on the door and he wakes up out the flashback . At the end of the film we will play the song "the great gig in the sky" to end it.
Reflection- The film will include many different song to set the tone and mood for the different scenes. Thanks for reading my post hope you guys enjoyed have a good day! Next blog we will be talking about Music choice.

Hey guys, welcome back to another blog! This is the final week of blog posts which means our journey is concluding. Today we will talk about our experiences while filming at the soccer field.
We arrived at about 1-1:30pm to film our opening. Everyone was ready as we had our cleats, jerseys, balls and cameras. One of the fields was completely open for us to film which was really convenient as the other field had a game going on. We were supposed to film more but we mostly filmed the scene where Gabo got injured. There were a few tweaks we had to make but overall it was very similar. The weather was pretty mild but it is good as it makes the setting seem like it was an intense game in the hot sun. First, we filmed the whole scene on a GoPro but turns out it was sped up so we changed the camera equipment. After getting that arranged, we included a shot of the field. Then, we filmed a part where Gabo created a play with his teammates and got past the defender. The defender got mad and tackled Gabo which led to the referee running to check up on Gabo as he was yelling in pain. After this scene, it will cut to Gabo in his bedroom waking up. This was all done smooth and thoroughly as we faced no problems. After filming this part, we played soccer for a while with other people around.
Reflection: Our filming experiences went according to plan and we didn’t face any difficulties. We did however, add a few updates and tweaks which will be addressed in another blog post. The other scenes will be filmed very soon and edited before the deadline so stay tuned for that. Thanks for watching this blog and stay tuned for the last few blogs!
Hello, welcome back to another blog post, today we will be talking about the different shots we have used through our film so far. We are only about 45 seconds through our film, and we have used 4 different camera shot and angles. There are many more shots and angles to come. We are aiming to have about 6 different shots and angles in our film. Having different angle and shot is good because they enhancing storytelling, creating visual interest, and guiding the audience's emotional and phycological responses.
The first shot we used was an establishing shot. We used this shot to show the location of our film, which is Chapel Trial Soccer Park, and the purpose of it is to set the scene, and give details about what the film is going to be about.
Hey guys, welcome back to this week’s blog. Our deadline is approaching soon so in these last few posts we will be going over important details in our brief. Today we are talking about each character’s specific props and what they will be wearing. These are likelihoods and not everything is 100% sure but this is most likely what we will see from each character.
Gabo (Nick)- Gabo is a soccer player so in the opening scene when he’s playing, he will be wearing a jersey, shorts, shinguards and cleats since he is in a match. Since Gabo got injured in the match, it is likely that he will be wearing a knee brace to show the legitimacy of his injury. Gabo is also a big fan of soccer since in the scene where he’s getting ready in his room, we will be able to see posters, cleats, jerseys, balls and more. There will also be food (most likely cereal) since Gabo goes to the kitchen in the scene where he talks to Dr. Smith through his phone. Lastly, after Gabo destroys his room from the unfortunate news told to him, he will find a medal he won from when he was much younger and able to play without worries.
Dr. Smith (Rafael)- Dr. Smith is a character with very little screen time so not many props are needed. Most of Dr. Smith’s dialogue is from Gabo’s perspective while he’s eating. The scene in which Dr. Smith does show up though, he will have a pen and paper as he just got results that Gabo’s injury is lethal and he may not be able to play again. Dr. Smith’s may also have a mustache and items such as a stethoscope to show his “doctor” appearance.
The Mayor (Brennan)- The mayor is also a character with little screen time and may not even have dialogue but there are a couple of props he will have. The mayor may have a mustache to show his maturity and will dress formally as a mayor should. The mayor will have a medal to award to younger Gabo as well to show the importance of Gabo’s achievements back when he was younger.
Younger Gabo (Justin)- Younger Gabo will be a character with decent screen time but most of it is dribbling through his opponents and scoring goals. Gabo will obviously be wearing a jersey, shorts, cleats, shinguards, and playing with a ball. After his amazing performance, the mayor will award him with a medal which he will keep until he is older.
Goalkeeper (Nathaniel)- This is a character who shows up early in the scene where Gabo gets injured. The goalkeeper will be wearing a goalkeeper jersey, shorts, shin guards, cleats, and gloves to save and catch the ball.
Defender (Alan)- The defender also shows up in the first scene where Gabo gets injured. This is the defender who is on the opposite team of Gabo and injures him which means he will be wearing a different jersey than Gabo. Overall he will be wearing a jersey, shorts, shin guards, and cleats.
Reflection: Today we discussed the props and costumes of our main characters to help visualize the project beforehand. We will try to make this production accurate as if it were a real story in a real soccer setting by including these props and costumes. Our characters are responsible for their props since it is important to distinguish everyone based on their look. With that being said, thank you for tuning in to this blog and get ready for the next blog as we will be discussing how we will be applying the credits to our 2 minute opening.
Hi blogger, welcome back to another blog. Todays will be making our opening credits. When making your opening credits you want to includes the characters name, and then their real name. When you are listing the people who filmed the movie, you just list there real name, same thing for the people who edited it. When we actually just the credits into the film they will be scattered throughout the film, so it not just all clumpy and congested.
